Reflecting

This experiment was beneficial in developing our experimental skills, identifying and developing meaningful experiments for students. We were able to engage in a experiment that we can carry out with students. We are familiar with the inquiry process, observing, collecting data, and drawing conclusions from our data. Taking the role as learners and students we can reflect on our experience and carry over to create meaningful learning inquiry activities for students.

Checkout the progress!

Here is some progress, it is day 10 and we have some sprouting. We are continuing to water 5 times per week, about 1/4 cup, still facing east out the window, and consistently infront of the window in sunlight.
Check out that progress!

Marigolds Planted

Good news we planted our flowers. We look forward to sharing our results with you.
Somethings to know about our experiment:
  • The flowers are located in my room on my desk, directly infront of the window, facing east. There are blinds over the windows, but we leave them open.
  • We planted 4 Marigold seeds in two pots.
  • We used potting soil, Miracle Grow.
  • We will be watering our flowers 5 times per week, about 1/4 of  cup, enough to get the soil wet.
Check them out!

The seed:

It's planted!
